The BCCI on Monday announced the full schedule for the remaining matches of the IPL with the General Elections in India in the focus.


In all, 74 matches will be played exclusively in India with the playoffs starting on May 21 and the grand finale on May 26.

The Eliminator and Qualifier 1 matches will be played at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad from May 21 and 22 respectively. The Qualifier 2 and final showdown will be held in Chennai from May 24 and 26 respectively.

Delhi Capitals will be putting on a show for their home fans in the next phase, with five matches scheduled to be played at the Arun Jayawary Stadium in Delhi. While Visakhapatnam will host the first two home matches of the upcoming phase for Delhi Capitals.


On the other hand, Punjab Kings will be wrapping up their home phase at Dharamsala, where they will be playing two matches. On May 5th and May 9th, the serene venue will witness two matches of Punjab Kings  against Chennai Super Kings and royal challengers Bangaluru. 

For Rajasthan Royals, Guwahati will be the second home of the team, with the last two home matches being played in Assam. On May 15th, Rajasthan will host Punjab Kings, while on May 19th they will clash with Kolkata Knights Riders, marking the end of the league phase of the 17th IPL season.

The BCCI had previously announced the schedule for the initial 21 matches spread over 17 days. 


The BCCI will continue to collaborate closely with the government and security agencies to ensure that all protocols and advisories regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in India are followed. 


Once the dates of 18th Lok Sabha election are known, the Board will examine and address any queries regarding the first two weeks schedule. The BCCI will then work in conjunction with the local authorities to finalise the schedule for the rest of the season taking into account the election dates, the BCCI had said in a release. 

PBKS will end their home season at the PFA New International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, which is set to host two matches on 5th May and 9th May. The scenic stadium offers breathtaking views as well. 


The Rajasthan Royals have also chosen to play their final two home games in Assam at a second location in Guwahati. The league stage of the 17th IPL season will come to an end on May 19 when they play Kolkata Knight Riders after hosting Punjab Kings on May 15.
