Most Handsome Indian Cricketer Salim Darani Passed Away at 88 years Old.

 Salim Durrani was known as the handsome man of Indian cricket . A source close to Salim Durani's family said that he died today . He was 88 years old at the time of his death.


Salim Durani Passed Away:

Former Indian cricketer Salim Durrani passed away.  A source informed his family on Sunday . He was 88 years old at the time of his death.  It was said that Salim Durrani was so handsome that in the sixties this cricketer used to beat even Bollywood heroes.  Even in intelligence and humor he would beat anyone . The source told Salim Durrani's family that the former cricketer died in Jamnagar, Gujarat


Salim Durani lived with his younger brother Jahangir Durani in Jamnagar.  He recently underwent a proximal femoral nail surgery . It is known that Salim Durani's Thai bone was broken in a fall last January . That is why this surgery is done.  The former Indian batting all-rounder was almost bedridden since then . Salim Durrani did not limit himself only to cricket . He made his Bollywood debut in 1973 with the movie Charitra .In his Opposite, there was famous actress Parveen Bobby in that movie.

Salim Durani Cricket Carrier:

Salim Durani was born in Kabul.  Along with left-handed batting, he used to bowl left-handed orthodox spin . Salim Durrani was mainly famous for his six hitting skills . He played 29 Test matches for India . He was even instrumental in England's 2-0 defeat in the 5-match Test series in 1961-62.  He was instrumental in India's victory in the Calcutta and then Madras Tests . Durrani will forever remain in the hearts of fans for his 8 wickets in the Kolkata Test and 10 wickets in the Madras Test.


He has 1 century in 29 Tests for India,  Scored 7 half centuries . He has 1,202 runs in Test cricket, But not just a Test series win against England at home,  India beat the West Indies at their home ground almost a decade after his bowling.  Durrani helped India win the match with the wickets of Clive Lloyd and Garfield Sobers in Port of Spain.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi Shared Condoled Message In Twiitter:

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of Salim Durani . In his condolence message, the Prime Minister wrote, “Salim Durrani Ji was a cricketing legend and an institution in himself.  He played an important role in the rise of India in world cricket. He was known for his style on and off the field. I am saddened by his death. My condolences to his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.”
