The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online applications for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023, January examination.
JEE MAIN 2023 Exam Date And Application Form Date:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main Exam 2023 notification, according to which, the registration has begun on December 15 and will close on January 12, 2023. Candidates can register online on the official website of NTA JEE---jeemain.nta.nic.in.
According to the notification, the last date for successful registration fee payment is January 12, 2023. The NTA will announce the exam city in second week of January 2023, while admit cards can be downloaded in January third week.
The official statement, notification and dates have been made available on the NTA JEE 2023 official websites- jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.nic.in. NTA has opened the registration portal and undergraduate engineering aspirants can now apply online.
Steps to fill JEE Main Application Form 2023:
- Go to the official NTA JEE Main 2023 website- jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Register by entering the necessary details like name, email address, mobile number, etc.
- Login using the required credentials and fill out the JEE Mains application form 2023.
- Scan and upload the relevant documents as required.
- Make the payment of the IIT JEE 2023 registration fee.
- Click ‘Submit’ and download the application form for further use.
Exam timings for JEE Mains:
JEE Main Exam 2023 will be organised in two shifts as per the official notice. The first shift will be held from 9 am to 12 noon while the second shift will take place from 3 pm to 6:30 pM
The JEE Mains exams are held for BE, Btech(paper 1) and BArch and BPlanning (Paper 2). According to reports the JEE Main 2023 session 1 will be conducted in January and the session 2 will be conducted in April next year.
As per the rules, the ranks will be calculated as per the marks obtained by candidates in any of the two sessions. Candidates can choose to take one session of both.
JEE Main 2023: Eligibility Criteria to appear in the exam:
The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for JEE Main 2023 is plus two (Class 12) pass certificate with Physics, Maths.
The eligibility criteria for taking JEE Main 2023 remains the same. Candidates who have passed Class 12 in 2021, 22 are appearing for it in 2023 can take the entrance test.
While there is no age limit to appear in JEE Main 2023, candidates might need to fulfill age criterion set by institutions for admitting students.
NTA restores 75% criterion for admission, pass marks not enough
While the eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance test remains same as last year, the condition for taking admission at IIITs, NITs and GFTIs has changed.
Candidates must secure 75% marks (65% for SC, ST) in their Class 12 final examination, in addition to qualifying in JEE Main for admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Centrally Funded Technological Institutions (CFTIs). Admission to these institutes are given through JoSAA and CSAB counselling.

Payable NTA JEE Main application fee will be as per the gender and category of candidates. Fee has to be paid online through credit/debit card and net banking.Candidates will receive a message of successful payment of JEE Main 2023 application fees on their mobile numbers. After the payment of fees, JEE Main application form 2023 stands completed.
